There are some exciting events coming up in Colorado – next weekend Grandmaster Timur Gareev is going to be doing a blindfold simul at Brian Wall’s

Corner Bakery4 round Swiss system tournament.
Time Control: Rd1&2 G/60; 5del. Rd3&4 G/90; 30 second increment
Site: Corner Bakery Cafe, 1147 16th St., Denver, CO
Directions: 16th Street mall between Lawrence and Arapahoe. Under the Clocktower, visible from the Chess tables.
Open: One open section
Entry fee: $40; Pre-reg price: $35
Prizes: Cash prizes based on entry fees.

Grandmaster Timur Gareev giving a blindfold simulI am signed up for both the tournament and the simul, and I am looking forward to it!

Gareev is only going to be in Denver for one night.  He is currently planning on setting the record for the most blindfold games at one time with 64 games going at the same time!
