  • From Life Master Joel Johnson

Hi All,

Matthew Miller has moved to 65th place in the United States among 14 year olds with his 1901 USCF Rating as of the December Rating List.  Congrats!! Matthew started playing USCF rated chess and taking chess lessons in January of this year. His first USCF rating was 667 and his current USCF Rating is at an all-time high of 1934 (a mere 66 point away from the Expert title). That represents a rating gain of a whopping 1267 points in just under a year!! Congrats!!

Matthew’s twin brother Luke is right on his heels and just a few points of joining his brother on the Top 100 list for 14 year olds! Both brothers have had banner years! Congrats!

Thanks, Joel
